Executive Chef Avram Samuels

When you dine at The View, attend a wedding, or visit for a corporate event, you'll enjoy inventive menus curated by Executive Chef, Avram Samuels. Recognized at the top of his class at the New England Culinary Institute, Samuels has been a guest chef at the James Beard House Revillion Dinner, was a Silver and Bronze Medal National Fancy Food Show, and was voted one of the Best "Young Chefs". Trained under two French Certified Master Chefs, Chef Samuels has past experience opening several boutique hotels as well as work with the National Hockey League (NHL).
Locally Sourced & Inspired
"The menu at The View is inspired by Chaminade itself. Driving up the hill to the resort early in the morning stopping for deer and wild turkeys, or spotting luxurious ingredients including mushrooms and kefir lime trees. How do you not get inspired?
Our team has really bought into the idea of seasonality and locality. We change our menus frequently based on what is available at any given time. We have some of the most passionate farmers, fishermen, foragers, and winemakers in the world right here in our backyard. The quality of ingredients in the Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay area is really special."
