United Way of Santa Cruz designates Chaminade Company of the Year
SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA, March 2005 … Chaminade Resort has been designated by United Way of Santa Cruz as "Company of the Year for 2005." Davide Barnes, general manager, received the award on behalf of the resort at a victory dinner held on March 18th.
Chaminade was given the honor as a tribute to its generous and active community involvement throughout the year. The resort's contributions included donated staff time and manpower as well as in-kind gifts.
Several Chaminade staff also volunteered their personal time for United Way and helped run the annual fund drive. The resort achieved the highest level of employee and corporate contributions of all companies within the hospitality industry division.
