We are so thrilled that we decided to have our wedding at the Chaminade. We live in Tampa, Florida and found the staff to be very accommodating and efficient in planning a wedding from so far away. You are assigned a wedding coordinator who takes care of everything on their end and walks you through every step of the process. We were lucky enough to have two people helping us out.

Another great thing about the Chaminade is that after you choose the package for food and for beverages, they give you a price per person. That price includes EVERYTHING - food, beverages, cake (& cutting), tax, gratuity, etc. There are no hidden fees or charges later. That made budgeting for the wedding/reception so much easier for us.

The food was INCREDIBLE. The service from every staff member, from the coordinators to the wait staff, was exemplary. We were treated like royalty the whole time that we stayed there.

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention Shannon and Angela specifically (the coordinators). My florist did not show up to my wedding. Needless to say I was devastated, and as I didn't know this until 5 minutes before the wedding (my husband was trying to keep me in the dark, hoping he would show up in time), I was a wreck as I was about to walk down the aisle. Shannon and Angela were absolutely incredible. They found flowers around the resort for my husband to wear and to put around the altar area. They got a hold of the florist and had him send up a bouquet from a friend of his. Obviously, it wasn't anything like I had planned over the nine months before the wedding, but they did a wonderful job of improvising at the last minute. And they calmed me down so that I could walk down the aisle and enjoy marrying my husband without focusing on the absence of flowers. The wedding was perfect. The day was perfect. Best Wedding spot you can imagine!

My husband & I were recently married at Chaminade Resort. Everything was absolutely incredible. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The ceremony spot is incredible with a fountain & a trellis covered in flowers. The view of the Monterey Bay is the best I have ever seen. We had a beautiful sunset that night too. It was my dream day! The food was delicious too. They include everything in the wedding package, so the hors d'oeuvres, dinner, wedding cake, site fees, etc were all included. It turned out to be less expensive for my parents than they thought it was going to be! It was a lot less expensive than the other venue we were considering, since Chaminade includes so much.

I worked with Angela & Shannon & they were both fantastic. Very nice to work with & they always got back to me right away with thorough answers to my questions. They were both very knowledgeable & seemed to really enjoy what they do. Our banquet manager (also named Shannon) was also wonderful. The staff that works there is super friendly, from the bellmen to the front desk & wait staff. After we got back from our honeymoon, our family & our friends told us how blown away they were with our wedding venue. They didn't know such a place existed, especially in Santa Cruz!

Our hotel room was huge & the bed was super comfy. We had a really nice patio off the hotel room that looked onto a pretty forest. I read some reviews about the hotel rooms being loud which I was surprised about, because our room was really quiet. Overall, I wouldn't change a thing. WOW, do I love this place

I practically lived here this summer, I was working here almost every weekend for so many weddings. Got to know almost all the valets by first name, tons of the servers and most of the managers. Staying here is awesome already, imagine your wedding! There are two major sites for a wedding ceremony with both being able to see out to sea on a clear bright day. The ballrooms can come alive for a super party and the food? THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE! I hope you do buffet! =D You'll want tons and tons more. =) The staff could not be any more helpful everywhere from the valets to the serving staff to all of the managers. Rehearsal Dinner at Chaminade

We had my son's rehearsal dinner at Chaminade on Friday, August 27, 2010. It was at the Manresa Room and Sunset Patio. We had about 60 guests. The evening was absolutely wonderful! The staff at Chaminade did such a great job. Angela Cima-Edmond helped us plan the dinner and she is such an expert, always available and so much fun to work with.
